How can the city of tomorrow contribute to the well-being and safety of the people living in it? The emergenCITY workshop “Urban Resilience” during the emergenCITY Week 2022 from June 20th to 22nd is dedicated to this topic.
In presentations and interviews, a wide variety of key topics related to urban resilience will be explored over the course of six sessions. emergenCITY Professor Annette Rudolph-Cleff’s Department of Design and Urban Development was able to invite a number of internationally renowned speakers, such as Herbert Dreiseitl and Kongjian Yu, to present their views on resilient urban development. The keynotes will address issues of climate resilience, digital resilience in cities and municipalities, or more specifically, coping strategies for the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley. The workshop itself is also part of the international student competition “Designing Resilience Global” (DRG), in which 7 universities from around the world are participating this year.
The workshop will take place on Monday 20.06. all day, Tuesday 21.06. in the morning and Wednesday 22.06. in the evening.
We are sure that the event will be not only interesting for the scientific community, but also for all those who are interested in the topic of urban resilience. Therefore, we cordially invite everyone to participate in the public sessions.
