At this year’s European Academy of Management Conference (EURAM) in Barth - one of the most prestigious management conferences in Europe - emergenCITY-Researcher Syrine Adala presented her paper on “The Relation between Entrepreneurs’ Social Identity and Venture Success in Times of Crisis”, co-authored by emergenCITY-PI Carolin Bock and Konstantin Kurz. We are delighted that her paper was selected to receive the Best Paper Award of the Special Interest Group Entrepreneurship.

The award-winning paper explores how the meanings entrepreneurs associate with their ventures, closely tied to their social identity, shape their venture resilience in times of crisis. Beyond theoretical contributions, the paper holds pivotal implications for policymakers and informs the development of a resilient entrepreneurial landscape capable of embracing diversity among entrepreneurs.

We congratulate Syrine Adala to this outstanding success!
