At this year’s conference of the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL) - the most important professional association for computational linguistics in Europe - emergenCITY-PI Iryna Gurevych impressed twice over with her work: two research papers submitted by Gurevych, international researchers and members of the Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing (UKP) Labs, which conducts research into natural language processing at the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt, received awards.
The paper “Sensitivity, Performance, Robustness: Deconstructing the Effect of Sociodemographic Prompting” by Gurevych, Tilman Beck, Anna Lauscher and Hendrick Schuff won the EACL Social Impact Award. In the Resource Paper Award category, the conference honored the paper “M4: Multi-generator, Multi-domain, and Multi-lingual Black-Box Machine-Generated Text Detection”, in which 13 other scientists besides Gurevych were involved.
emergenCITY congratulates all the award-winning researchers on this success.
