emergenCITY has a new Equal Opportunities and Family representative: Prof. Carolin Bock follows Michaela Leštáková and is, together with Prof. Florian Steinke, the new contact person for all questions and concerns related to equality and family in science. We would like to thank Michaela Leštáková for her extraordinary commitment to emergenCITY over the past years.

With Carolin Bock, two professors are now dedicated to the important issue of gender equality and family. emergenCITY actively promotes the compatibility of an academic career and family, by e.g. arranging emergency or vacation childcare. There are also various programs to support women on their career paths. These include individual coaching for (post-)doctoral students, the Female Student Travel Award for talented female students and opportunities to network and exchange ideas with role models from the world of science.

The Equal Opportunities team provides regular updates on all offers and projects from emergenCITY and the universities of Darmstadt, Kassel and Marburg. Always with the aim of promoting inclusive excellence and creating a fair, diverse and equal-opportunity working environment.
